A
bit of balance is important in nutrition. There are lots of contradictions and
misguided information on healthy eating, and it’s important not to be paranoid
about what you eat. Here are a few general tips from Fruitface on how to achieve
a balanced and healthy diet. Eat
fresh and unrefined food when possible—try to avoid over preserved and processed
foods. Eat
a varied diet, containing protein, carbohydate, and good
fats. Drink
water and pure, unsweetened fruit juices, avoiding drinks high in sugar &
preservatives. Avoid
artificial flavourings, colourings, and additives. Cut
down on sugar and sugary foods. Eat
regular meals with a mix of protein, vegetables and fruits; & eat nutrient
rich foods such as seeds, herbs, & good oils. Cook
in a healthy way, boiling, roasting, poaching, steaming, and shallow frying in
as little fat as possible. Ingredients: sunflower
seeds (60%), pumpkin seeds (32%), flax seeds (7.5%), natural flavourings
(0.5%). Our flavourings include
balsamic vinegar (made from grape must & wine vinegar), fresh fruit juice
(natural orange and lemon juice), and soy sauce (fermented soybeans, water,
flour, & salt.)
